NYC Cosmetics makeup review

I know that I'm not the only one that sees the NYC Cosmetics display at the store and wonders how the products are. In the last few months I've heard from friends, family and other bloggers that there are a lot of hidden gems in this brand. When they asked if I'd mind reviewing a few of their products I was really excited to try out the products!

NYC Cosmetics Expert Last Lipstick Swatch and Review

NYC Cosmetics Expert Last Lipstick
I had three of the Expert Last Lipsticks, in Forever Fuchsia, Coralista, Traffic Jam. These lipsticks are really pigmented, but they apply very smoothly and they feel hydrating. Almost like you're applying a balm. They easily last 4 hours on me (with sipping a drink) without any fading.

NYC Cosmetics City Proof Twistable Intense Lip Color Review and Swatch

NYC Cosmetics City Proof Twistable Intense Lip Color
These big lippie pencils are labelled Intense Lip Color, though I thought they were a bit less pigmented than the lipsticks. They really were similar to other tinted lip balm pencils from brands like CoverGirl, Clinique and Revlon, but more pigmented. I guess that's where the "intense" part comes in. It's super hydrating and I love how much color you get from the balm.

NYC Cosmetics Big Bold Volume by the Lash Mascara Review

NYC Cosmetics Big Bold Volume by the Lash Mascara
All of my before and after pics turned out surprisingly blurry for this one (though, I am wearing this mascara below), and I have to say that I'm very happy with this mascara. It promises big, voluminous lashes and it does a good job of that. The brush has molded plastic bristles, and they not only grab every little lash but also make it very easy to separate your lashes and prevent clumps. The curl lasts all day, I didn't have any smudging or flaking.

NYC Cosmetics Liquid Eyeliner Review

NYC Cosmetics Liquid Eyeliner
I'm usually a liquid liner pen fan, not a brush girl. Brushes are usually too flexible, and I have a really hard time getting a straight line. The bristles on this brush are a little bit stiffer and shorter than other liquid eyeliners, so they will apply the liner right where you want it to go. The liner is really pigmented and you only need to go over the line one time, which made my results even better! I had no smudging or fading after wearing this liner all day, it is definitely a great liner!

Here I am today, I'm wearing the Liquid Eyeliner, Big Bold Volume Mascara and the Expert Last Lipstick in Coralista. I need to point out that I'm never the orange/coral lippie girl, so I didn't think that the orange lip spring trend was one I would be wearing. Even I look decent in this coral, I think it would work for pretty much everyone! And, yes, it is under $3!
